New wide area plastic fiber arrays featuring tight beam spacing

Banner’s newest fiber arrays have very tightly spaced beams and uniform light intensity, enabling very fine levels of detection. They are highly immune to optical and crosstalk interference for use in dense sensing applications.

  • Capable of detecting objects as small as 2mm with the 40mm array and 3mm with the 10mm array when the emitter and receiver are separated 150mm with the DF-G2 amplifier
  • Strong, crush resistant plastic fibers from the array to the coupling protected by flexible stainless-steel braiding, and di-cast zinc housing protects the array in heavy duty environments
  • An array paired with a single amplifier can replace multiple amplifiers in area detection applications, simplifying ordering and inventory stock
  • An array can distinguish between two different product types using an amplifier with dual discrete outputs
