Ramco Innovations is an Automation Solutions Provider (distributor) who has been in business since 1962. We sell technically applied products into the industrial marketplace. Ramco does business in Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, and Southern Illinois.

Job Summary:

Inside Sales is responsible for processing customer quotes and orders, dissemination information to various departments and arranging for the shipping of products to customers. Inside Sales Representative performs their duties over the phone as well as internet, email, faxes and written correspondence with customers, vendors, Outside Sales force and all Ramco personnel. The Inside Sales Representative will be assigned to a group of accounts to service in conjunction with an Outside Sales Representative.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receives request for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from domestic customers, original equipment manufacturers, and distributors via telephone, email, fax and standard mail.
  • All unresolved matters and commitments must be followed-up daily, providing the customer with daily status updates as well. Proper notations must be made with status in the CRM. 
  • All customers will receive an order confirmation from the Inside Sales Representative once the order is entered with information regarding the shipping method and delivery dates as well as providing accurate lead times. 
  • Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to exceed their expectations by providing the best possible service.
  • Utilize the CRM in order to update and maintain all customer account information, including; special comments, contact information, SIC codes, and pricing codes.
  • Works closely with shipping and receiving regarding deliveries of scheduled shipments.
  • Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
  • Process repairs and credits within 48 hours of receipt with accurate information.
  • Will handle difficult customers tactfully in order to maintain business. 
  • Travel to customer sites to visit key customers in order to strengthen our business relationship.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced self-starter capable of identifying, sizing, selecting, and quoting single and multi-axis motion control solutions involving all motion technologies on our line card (mechanical positioners and components, robotics, gearboxes, servos, steppers, motion/machine controls, AC & DC drives and motors, feedback devices and value add services). Experience with automation products (sensors, PLC's, HMI's) is also highly desirable. Bachelors degree (BSME or BSEE preferred) in technical discipline preferred with a minimum of 1-3 years industry related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator's license and maintain an approved motor vehicle record (MVR).
